Oh lord, our God, may your mercy be evident in our life and may your love live in our heart. Guide us, during this season of hope, love, joy, and peace to make those things evident in our lives. May they be obvious to those with whom we come in contact each day and in the community where we find ourselves fulfilling your mission in life. Guide us, always, toward Your truth and let that lead us in our daily decision making.
God of understanding, may we and each person tasked with responsibility always express good faith and willingness to serve according to their ability and with the patience to achieve each task successfully. Guide them during this season, and at all times into the future, so that they might not lose sight of your desire for all humanity to know the fullness of their life and faith. Fill them with your wisdom and the desire to live into your will; give them an abundance of useful knowledge.
We ask You to bless each earthly gift that it might contribute to the nourishment of your kingdom here on this earth. And during this season of anticipation may we each anticipate your blessings for our lives, for our families, for our neighbors, for our community, and for our earth.
In Your holy and righteous name, Amen.
